me and ammu got nazar bracelets together...it was hard to get one my size but we looked everywhere, ammu says its important for protection! mine is blue!

daddys THIRD visit and PUERTO VALLARTA!!!

on friday afternoon daddy showed up all of a sudden to my apartment in mexico city with huge cala lilies for ammu. they were twice as big as me!!! ammu doesnt like to get flowers but this was an exception! a few hours later uncle dave arrived from montreal! early the next morning we went to the airport to fly to puerto vallarta for work/fun.

abuelitas house in puerto vallarta is GORGEOUS. but she kept telling me 'no this is YOUR house preciosa' hehe it is so funny. i slept in abuelitas huge bed, in the morning i watched the sun rise over the ocean with daddy. i went swimming for the first time in my life in the swimming pool with daddy! i even got a SWIMSUIT! it was a great 4 days with abuelita, daddy, uncle dave, and tia abuela cruz!

Ammu broke her finger!

Ammu said bye to me and left for Spanish lesson on Tuesday on her bike, then she came back in 10 minutes moaning in pain! After a few minutes she left again for class but couldn't ride her bike because of pain. When she came back from class her two fingers had turned totally blue and swollen...so we walked over to nearest doctor. He told us she was okay and prescribed lots of pain medicine but she couldnt take them because shes feeding me! The next day we told Abuelita on the phone and she was so horrified she canceled her trip to Cuernavaca and came over to our house that night. Here are pics of us when she came over with Tia Abuela Cruz. Abuelita took charge and took Ammu to a real doctor in the same hospital she took me to for my shots. Doctor did x-ray and found big fracture! Ammu came back with bright blue cast! She's not as good at changing my diapers or holding me now though :(

We took some new walks this week. We saw this house that Ammu said reminded her of the house in Great Expectations, one of Daddy's favorite books. We also met an old nice lady, but she kept talking and talking and talking! I finally started crying and Ammu kept telling her we have to go now but she kept wanting to talk and show us pictures of her family. We'll go back there soon!

HAPPY 27 MS. CARLY!!!!

happy birthday ms. carly!! i know today is your favorite day of the year! today is special for me too because it is your birthday and also because it suddenly started raining like CRAZY here with huge huge huge hail, like big snowballs!! ammu says shes never seen anything like it, i haven't either, but she's old so she should have!! but i guess not as old as you!!! hehe just joking ms. carly, have you ever seen hail like this? HAPPY BIRTHDAY!! 

First Valentine's Day

Daddy's second visit!!!!

Daddy came!!!!!!!! FOR ONLY TWO DAYS but they were the best two days ever. We didn't plan anything big, just hung out around the city. The first day Daddy wanted to buy flip flops so he walked BAREFOOT all the way to Metro Tacuba (which is kind of gross and about a mile away) to buy some. Here's a picture of him on the way there....this is from the cleaner part of the route. You should have seen the other parts! At one point he was like.."hmm feels wet and sticky". Here's Ammu and Daddy on one of the bridges they had to cross to get to the flip flops....and there's Ammu under the same Cinco de Mayo sign from last week..but you can't read it. They saw this crazy store with huge dresses - look!!! I have a feeling Abuelita would love to see me in one of those...hehehe. 

Back in our neighborhood we went for a walk and Daddy saw a house with the gate engraved with A&C :) We got up early Saturday morning to buy fresh juice and some veggies at the local mercado. Do you see me in the mercado? That's how I roll.

Then they gave me a bath...it was so cold afterwards but Daddy whisked me up without putting any clothes on me anyway! It was freezing..but again I like to keep my true feelings hidden. Trust me I was cold though! That sweatshirt he's wearing was 28th birthday present from Ammu. I think he wears it literally every single day.

Then it was time to say goodbye to Daddy. Abuelita came over from Cuernavaca too. It was fun!! Here's a picture of us all together before Daddy left for the airport.
